Towing in Calgary

Our home base. Light-duty through heavy recovery across the city, the ring road and the industrial parks.

+1 (587) 436-8900

Calgary is where most of our calls start and finish. It is a city built around fast, high-volume roads — Deerfoot, Stoney Trail, Glenmore — ringed by heavy industrial areas where the vehicles that break down are rarely just cars. We run flat decks for passenger vehicles and pickups, wheel lift for tight underground parkades, and heavy wreckers for the commercial units that go down on the Deerfoot at rush hour.

The roads

Where the calls come from

Deerfoot Trail (Highway 2)

The busiest road in the province and our most frequent call. Collisions here need a truck that can clear a live lane quickly, not one that turns a blocked lane into a blocked hour.

Stoney Trail (Highway 201)

The ring road moves a lot of commercial traffic between the industrial parks. Long stretches with limited shoulder, so recovery positioning matters.

Glenmore Trail & Macleod Trail

Heavy commuter volume and frequent merges. A high share of our light-duty tows to body shops originate here.

16 Avenue N (Trans-Canada)

The through route for transport trucks crossing the city, and where we get called for commercial breakdowns rather than collisions.

What goes wrong

Local conditions

  • Chinooks melt and refreeze the same surface inside a day, which is how a dry-looking morning commute turns into a multi-vehicle call on the Deerfoot.
  • Underground and parkade recoveries need low-clearance equipment — a standard flat deck cannot get in, and plenty of operators will simply decline the job.
  • The industrial parks in the southeast and Foothills generate heavy calls that a light-duty-only company has to sub out, adding an hour to your wait.

Who calls

What we move here

  • Commuter vehicles to body shops, dealerships and home
  • Commercial and fleet units out of the southeast and Foothills industrial parks
  • Equipment moves between yards, shops and job sites inside the ring road

Common questions

Calgary questions

How fast can a tow truck reach me in Calgary?
It depends on where you are and what time it is. Inside the ring road outside peak hours we are usually the shortest wait; during rush hour on Deerfoot or Glenmore, travel time is governed by the same traffic that caused your call. When you phone, we will give you a realistic estimate rather than an optimistic one.
Can you tow out of an underground parkade in Calgary?
Yes. Parkade and low-clearance recoveries need wheel-lift equipment rather than a flat deck, which is why some companies turn these jobs down. Tell dispatch it is underground when you call so the right truck is sent first time.
Do I have to use the tow company my insurer sends?
No. In Alberta you choose who tows your vehicle and where it goes. Your insurer or roadside club may dispatch a provider, but you are entitled to call a company you would rather deal with and to nominate the shop your vehicle is delivered to.
